Thank you for your interest in our website. Protecting your privacy is very important to us. In the following we explain in detail how we treat your data.
Storage of access data in server log files
You may visit our website without providing any information about yourself. We simply store access data, such as the name of the requested file, the date and time of access, the volume of data transmitted and the requesting IP, in so-called “server log files”. This data is analysed exclusively to ensure fault-free operation of the site and to improve our offering and does not enable us to identify who you are.
Collection and utilisation of data to process orders and open a customer account
We collect personal data if you provide us with it voluntarily when placing an order, contacting us (by contact form or e-mail) or opening a customer account. You can see what data we collect from the respective input forms. We use the data you provide us with for processing your orders and enquiries. Once the processing of the order has been completed or your customer account has been closed, the data is blocked from further utilisation and is deleted when the retention periods under tax and commercial law have expired, unless you have expressly consented to further utilisation of your data or we have reserved the right to make further use of your data as permitted by law, and as we explain below. You may close your customer account at any time either by sending a message to the contact address in the way described below or via a function provided for this purpose in the customer account.
Passing-on of data for fulfilment of orders
To fulfil your order we pass your data on to the dispatch company commissioned with delivery if this is necessary for the delivery of goods that have been ordered. For the processing of payments we pass on the required payment data to the bank mandated for payment and any payment service provider we may have commissioned or to the payment service you have specified in the ordering process.
Utilisation of data when subscribing to the e-mail newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use the necessary data or the data your have given us specially to send you our newsletter regularly. You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time either by sending a message to the contact address in the way described below or via a link provided for this purpose in the newsletter.
Utilisation of data for postal advertising and your right of objection
We also reserve the right to store your forename and surname, your postal address and, if we have been provided with such additional information by you in the course of our contractual relationship, your title, academic title, year of birth and professional or business description in summarised lists and to use them for our own advertising, for instance by sending you interesting offers and information on our products by post. You may object to the storage and use of your data for this purpose at any time by sending a message to the contact address in the way described below.
Right to information and contact address
You have the right to be informed free of charge about the personal data we have stored on you and the right to correct, block or delete this data. If you have any questions about the collection, processing or use of your personal data or require information or wish to block or delete your data or revoke any consent you may have given or object to a certain use of your data, please contact us directly using the contact information provided in the ‘Contact’ section.
If personal or professional details (e-mail addresses, names, addresses) can be inputted in the Fan Page, the disclosure of such information by users is on an exclusively voluntary basis. Use of and payment for all services offered is also permitted – where technically possible and reasonable – without giving such information or by providing anonymised data or a pseudonym. The use of the contact information provided in the ‘Contact’ section or comparable information such as postal addresses, telephone and fax numbers and e-mail addresses by third parties for sending information which has not been specifically requested is prohibited. In the event of breaches of this prohibition we expressly reserve the right to take legal action against the senders of so-called “spam mails”. Data security is not guaranteed in a public network, so for your own protection please do not publish any confidential content.
